In love with English

  Today I - Veronika Vasilkova want to tell you how my love with English appeard and still growing up.

English language for me is something special and mirical. It is the thing which was born with me and in me. I recognise and feel it as a second native language. 

  By the way, how all was

  My mother is a teacher of English language in university, she started learning english before my birth and when i was born then she became a teacher.

  Then my parents gave me in the kindergarden, i was about 2,5-3 years. There was a wonderful English programme called - International Language Program (ILP) - it is a program where American volonteers came for semestrial to teach Russian kids aged 3-18 years, in St. Petersburg. Usually they were people of 20 - 30 years old and families of childfen who learned the language came out for them (American guests) as a host families. So English could be everywhere around you.

  At the age of 3 my parents gave me at this program. And at the same time one teacher leaved with us. He didnt know any russian words so i used to understand him and other teachers what they say in English. That way I was taiking part in English not only on the lessons but everyday too. At the lessons we didnt use Russian language - it was prohibited, only English. We played alot, made handmade things, sang songs, walked, read and did everything that you can and can`t imagine. Since that time we had a tradition - one semestrial American persone lived with us and one we rested. This way we had 11 persones left with us.  And that way I learned English from 3 till 14 Years - now I have a certificate (ILP). In present I often chat with my American friends and we dont want to loose contacts. And now I am still Learning English but using all others ways.

  All my life I use the possibility to speak in English or with foreign people because it is as salve for my soul. When I hear someone foreign near me speaking in English I interrupt my dialoge (discussion) and ask my partner to be quite and I enjoy listening the language. I love English the more then something else. Even sometimes it is much easier to say something using English not Russian Language.

  Now I am 24 and I teach usually kids from 0 till 10 and sometimes 10 - 100. I have started being a teacher at 20 while I tried other professions but then at 22 I anderstud that I Love english and kids more then anything and decided that I will consist it together. And now I have an own project called -TERRITORY OF HAPPINESS. I am happy to make it and who comes to my classes became happy too. Besides I have and I use new methods, new materials, new technologies and ideas - no one has something like this in Russia. (about my project i will write later).
